Browns’ Nick Chubb expected to miss season after ghastly knee injury on ‘Monday Night Football

Nick Chubb got hurt in a football game on Monday. He plays for the Browns. His knee got hurt really bad, and he won't be able to play for the rest of the season.

The coach, Kevin Stefanski, told the reporters about it after the Browns lost to the Steelers. They were playing at Acrisure Stadium on Monday night. The coach said the knee injury was serious.

One of Nick's teammates, Myles Garrett, said it hurt a lot. Nick probably hurt a few ligaments in his knee.

This is what happened: Nick was trying to score a touchdown. He got the ball from his teammate, Deshaun Watson, and was running towards the end zone. But a player from the Steelers, Minkah Fitzpatrick, hit him low. Nick grabbed his knee and was in a lot of pain. He didn't want help from his teammates.

The Browns said Nick couldn't go back into the game. Nick had a similar knee injury back in college in 2015.

The coach, Kevin Stefanski, said they feel bad for Nick, but they have to keep playing without him. Myles Garrett said Nick is a quiet guy who works hard. They want to play well for him.

They didn't show the injury again on TV, but people at the stadium were shocked when they saw it on the big screen. The Steelers' fans even chanted Nick's name as he was taken off the field in a cart.

Another player, Jerome Ford, took Nick's place, and he scored a touchdown for the Browns. The game was close.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, the player who tackled Nick, also got hurt but came back to play. However, later in the game, he had to leave because of a chest injury.

Before getting hurt, Nick had run for 64 yards on 10 carries.
