Two kids, a 10-year-old and an 11-year-old, were caught driving a car by themselves far away from their home in Florida. They were trying to escape to California, the police said.

This happened on a Thursday at around 3:50 in the morning. Deputies from the Alachua County Sheriff's office saw a white car on I-75 South in the City of Alachua. Someone had reported this car as stolen on Facebook.

Because the car was reported as stolen, the police thought it was a dangerous situation. But when they stopped the car, they were surprised to see a 10-year-old boy getting out of the driver's seat, followed by his 11-year-old sister.

The officers found out that these kids had been reported missing in North Port, and the car they were driving actually belonged to their mom.

According to what their mom said, the girl was really upset because her mom had taken away her electronic gadgets on Wednesday. The mom noticed that the car, the kids, and some of their clothes were missing at around 11:25 p.m., and she called the police right away. The kids had a plan to run away to California. But we don't know their names yet.

A spokesperson from the Alachua County Sheriff's department, Art Forgey, was surprised at how these kids knew how to drive, especially well enough to travel more than 200 miles north.

It turns out they did a pretty good job of driving because they had come all the way from North Port and were even heading back south on the interstate when the deputy saw the stolen car.

After the police stopped them, they got in touch with the kids' mom. She arranged for a ride with her family to come pick them up. Forgey said she was really relieved that nothing bad happened to them during their long drive. Please Share This Article Thankyou...
