Cubs prospect called up for MLB debut decades after his mom starred in 'Little Big League'

The Chicago Cubs have brought up their young player, Pete Crow-Armstrong, to play in their upcoming games against the Colorado Rockies. He's only 21 years old but is known for being really good at catching the ball in the minor leagues.

Pete will start playing for the Cubs on Tuesday, and the team hopes this will make them even stronger in the games. This decision was made by the Cubs to improve their team, as reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan.

What's interesting about Pete is that his family has a unique connection to the world of acting. His mom, Ashley Crow, played a role in a baseball movie called "Little Big League" in 1994. She acted as Jenny Heywood, the mom of a 12-year-old who becomes the owner of the Minnesota Twins in the movie. Both of Pete's parents, Ashley Crow and his dad, Matthew John Armstrong, are actors. His mom is famous for her role in a TV show called "Heroes" and other movies like "Minority Report." His dad has appeared in TV shows like "American Dreams," "Heroes," and "American Horror Story."

Pete Crow-Armstrong is also known as a talented baseball player. He's ranked as the 12th-best prospect in MLB Pipeline. This season, he has a batting average of .283, an on-base percentage of .365, and a slugging percentage of .511. The Cubs picked him as the 19th overall choice in the 2020 MLB Draft when he was just out of Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles.

It's a bit of a shame that Pete's call-up didn't happen before the Cubs played against the Twins, given his family's connection to a baseball movie. Please Share This Article Thankyou..
